Garrett County Maryland is a great place to live
Here are the stories of why some of our associates joined Rodeheaver & Associates:

“Rodeheaver & Associates has given me the perfect opportunity to balance my family with a career. Because of the firm’s culture and commitment to their associates, I have had two children during my tenure here. I have had the opportunity to develop my accounting skills and enjoy many challenges, while having time to be a devoted wife and mother.”

Jessica D., Senior Accountant

“Rodeheaver & Associates was my first accounting job and frankly I was curious about different sectors of accounting and what other positions were available outside of the firm.  I left Rodeheaver & Associates for a brief time to take a position in governmental accounting, Thank goodness the phrase “You can never go back,” didn’t pertain to this firm because they embraced my return with open arms after I realized Rodeheaver & Associates is an exceptional work place.

I learned that here, the opportunity for professional advancement is only limited by your own ambition and based on your abilities and performance.  The client base provides a great variety of challenging assignments where the work is never boring or repetitive.  The firm’s commitment to keeping pace with the latest technology and software enables me to produce the highest quality work in the most efficient manner possible.

Having the opportunity to return to the firm after experiencing other accounting positions has proven to me that the culture Rodeheaver & Associates instills is unmatched anywhere.”

Jason G., Senior Accountant

“Four years ago my wife Nina & I decided to make what we considered at the time a dramatic change in our family’s life. The area around our Owings Mills home in Baltimore County was experiencing an enormous increase in population, traffic and crime. My jobs with Arthur Andersen & Co. and several other large corporations were very fulfilling, but the area and the quality of life it afforded our children was deteriorating rapidly.

Our family vacationed in Garrett County, MD for many years and really loved the area and its people. We could feel ourselves totally relax as we entered the mountains of western Maryland. It was during one of those trips that we decided to move here. Our children loved the outdoor activities. We felt a sense of security for our children and for Nina & me a less harried and more real way of living.

Since the top priority was a lifestyle change, we assumed that finding careers similar to what we were accustomed to, me having worked at Arthur Andersen and Nina with her  own successful business, may not be available. I consider it icing on the cake that I discovered a career opportunity at Rodeheaver & Associates. I have found a client base, technology, staff and a level of challenge which meets and even exceeds in many respects that which was afforded me at a much larger international firm.

Four years later I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that it was the best thing we could have done.  I am awe struck by the quality of the activities, education and programs that our children and our family have become involved in and am grateful to watch my children blossom in an environment in which there is a strong sense of community, safety and stability. Much to our delight, our children participate in one of our state park’s junior ranger programs, guide horseback riding tours, are avid snowboarders and snowmobile enthusiasts and just love being here.

To her surprise, Nina has found a ripe and growing business environment to further expand her business and has developed many true friendships in the process. We’ve found that there are many transplanted families in Garrett County. Those, along with the “natives” create a place that you could say has it’s own sophisticated charm.

Our move to Garrett County has been a breath of fresh air for all of us, both in our personal lives and now as important, in our professional lives."
